what is the bestspyware and adware remover available?my computer is infected with iesafetywraning.com,as well as "ibis toolbar"are these things real harmful?i was going to attempt to remove them manually but i have no idea what i am doing.

The best overall and simplest to understand in my opinion is Spyware Doctor. I've used a bunch of them, and it removes stuff the most often from any other that I've used. I'm not looking to knock other's opinions here, but Norton sucks. Norton/Symantec's been going downhill for quite sometime now, with anything other than anti-virus software. One knock on Spyware Doctor is that is does use more memory than I'd like, but if you want the best, that's it. They update the software every single day, and although you'll get a reminder to update it manually every day, which might annoy some, hey, at least you know they're constantly updating it.

A good buy would be Trend Micro Penicillin or System Mechanic. Both can detect spyware and clean them. The thing is though there are alot of malicious software that can not be cleaned. Try either one of the software titles I mentioned along with Norton as mention by previous person. If this doesn't work you may have to do a system restore. If you do one that is listed as not being to old you probably will not fix the problem. So you would have to do a reinstall of the Operating system ie: Windows XP. This procedure is not that difficult with the introduction of Windows 2000. Windows XP, 2000, and ME all have this function. If you have an older operating system forget it you need to upgrade. Anyhow try one of the 3 pieces of software mentioned earlier first and then if that doesn't work do the system restore remembering to save all of your important data to a CD, DVD, or USB flash drive.

i would suggest Norton Anti virus 2007 or microsoft defender but if that doesn't work then save every file that u really need on to a disk or floppy disk (scan each item first cuz one of those files could be the problem) and ask the computer store u got it from to wipe everything from it apart from the basic icons it's either that or more damage to ur folders and someone might be watching u (e.g. keyloggers)

lavasoft is one road runner uses.. and businesses. some actually add them !! so i always check up to date things at
