My computer is giving me the following errors:Error messages on sign on,Will not install software from disk?

Some other errors include:

Applications will not read memory.
When turned off sometimes will not turn back on for a while..

If anyone could help me with just a suggestion or tip to a website that would help me solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
