how 'bout a 10kt with a 14 kt, is that possible? (to mix these together to make a bracelet) wil it be a 24kt?

14 carat is the purity of the gold, a measure of what proportion of gold it has in it compared with other metals. If you melt them down, you just have a lump of 14 carat gold that is twice as big.

They would still be 14k, it's what it's alloyed with that changes the karat, and yes you could melt the 10k and 14k together, my guess is you'd come out with about 12k depending on the size of each one...
