You need to find out what type of dvd burner you have. Most will take both types of dvd's. It is on your home system where the problem occurs. On most reviews I have found that they recommend using DVD+R, but they -R ones work better on my home dvd player. Plus I had to try out about 4 different ones to find a disc that would work in my player without skipping.

If you have a DVD Writer ROM most will use either + or - DVD's.

You will most probably need a program like DVD SHRINK, as most movies are to large for a dvd cd, unless you buy the dual layer dvd's, which are quite expensive.

If you are asking about putting movies on a CDR from a CD writer, then I am sorry I have no idea.
