strippers make 400+ dollars a night if they work hard. What % of the cut does the house get?

It's called a house fee, and not all clubs have this. Usually it's $50 - $250. Dancers are expected to pay all or half before dancing.

Some clubs also require the dancers to tip the bouncers, DJ, housemom, and makeup artist (even if their services are not used).

They have to pay the house a "floor fee" or "tip out" which can range form $10 to $100 depending on the club, time of arrival, etc...
It's not based on money made during the night. The club has no way of keeping tabs on how much money each dancer makes. It's a flat fee which usually must be paid upon entering the club.

I think it is different at different clubs... some girls have to pay rent like at a hair salon, but then some are on commission. With rent the girls have to pay $150 per night no matter what, but with commission, the more they make in a night the more they have to pay the 'house' (10-15% or more).

The house has the advertising to get people in there, and the rent on the building and security, etc.

The house also gets a big cut of private/VIP dances. When I have done this in the past, you have to pay the girl $50-150 and the house gets $60 for using there plush couches. Man, I hope they clean those things.

It differs from establishment to establishment, and probably from area to area, too. Some places take no cut, but require the girls to "rent" stage time, i.e., if they want to dance at that club, they need to pay $50-$100 for the "privilege," per shift. Other places take no cut, but require the girls to "sell" a minimum number of drinks or pay a flat rate per shift ($50-$100, again), whichever is higher. Most girls will pay the bouncers and/or DJs a percentage of their earnings, though, because they help keep the girls safe and ensure that their performances go off without problems - in my area, they are generally paid around $20-$50 per girl, per night. Hope this helps.
