Yes, it is a game involving swords, and it was too 'realistic' so it didn't work. By realistic I mean you generally could take only one hit.

The first thing I thought of was the game Need for Speed carbon, in which one of the main gangs is called Bushido. Some else mentioned Kenshin, which could be where I heard it before that.

There is no game or show called Bushido. There is a show related to Bushido called Samurai X. It is in Japan and it says about Kensi Himura a Samurai who doesn't kill any more
