Needless to say, this is somewhat important.

This morning I woke up to a tiny little brown and chocolate guinea pig pup scampering around in my pair's cage. The female is still somewhat plump, there's no mess in the cage, and she doesn't seem to be in any pain.

There's no panting,no tensing anywhere along her body. Quite honestly, she's just relaxing with her new pup, curled up with the little one, acting as she always does. I suspect she -is- done, but I'm not certain if sows typically keep a little extra weight on (she's not buldging as she was when she had the pup inside, obviously, but she is still plump). Is this normal? Or should I be worried?

I would have to see the piggie, but most likely she is ok. Separate the male unless you want more in a couple of months. Some piggies are just naturally plump. They have all of their pups at one time. If there were some thing wrong with a pup inside the mother her body would naturally abort the fetus.

Just make sure the bedding is clean and let mom take care of her pup.

She is probably done. Some times Piggies have 1 pup, sometimes 2 or 3. If she seems relaxed then everything is likely OK.

Congratulations

You can tell a guinea pig is done with labor when he simply downs tools and cries "No more will I toil in the Sweatshops of the Capitalist Oppressor, exploited and demeaned in the service of the Barons and Moguls and Moguls and Barons, giving of my Sweat and Tears for a mere Crust and Pittance. I am not a Number, I am a Free Man."

That's usually a telltale sign...

guineas provide start at nite so its complicated to tell, you wont no till the morning once you notice the toddlers working around the cage(they are completely furred with there eyes open and could consume commonly used g.p nutrition right now away)yet once you have her in with a male you should TAKE THE MALE OUT NOW as they'll mate back as quickly as she has given start, and coz they provide start at nite its easier to take the male out now, i did no longer no this after my previous guinea gave start, the male re mated together with her (which i had no thought of)and he or she had greater toddlers and died whilst giving start so take my suggestion heavily xxx

The body language that you described suggests that she is done. One question though, why was your guinea pig pregnant in the first place? Obviously you haven't been on www.petfinder.com lately and have seen all the unwanted guinea pigs there are out there.
