You essentially have y = x^2 - 1

To find the inverse, interchange the variables

x = y^2 - 1

Solve for y. When you take the square root, choose the negative answer (because of the < = 0 restriction)

x + 1 = y^2
- SQR (x + 1) = y

The inverse is - SQR(x + 1)
