unless and until its UNITY is firmly established.

What do you think of this statement? Does it seem logical?

Unification of the whole of mankind is the hall-mark of the stage which human society is now approaching. Unity of family, of tribe, of city-state, and nation have been successively attempted and fully established. World unity is the goal towards which a harassed humanity is striving.

It follows neither deductively nor inductively that "peace" and "security" would be attained upon the establishment of a "supra-nation." You mention the "successful establishment" of unity in the forms of family, tribe, and city-state as support for your position on the inevitability of global unification. I am assuming that in putting these things forth as evidence in your argument you are implying that relative "peace and security" have been attained by their realization. However, the most cursory glance into either the current state of human affairs or its historical development will show that the internal peace and security of any given city-state (the most mature stage of the unity you mention) is severely limited at best.

Furthermore, the very presupposition of the possibility of complete "well-being" for mankind is questionable. Are not the pains of struggle and adversity elements by which our humanity is defined? Is life not a ceaseless dialectical tension of facing and overcoming problems?

The unity of different religions, people, and governments is exactly what is processing right now. The New World Order comes to mind, as well as a One World Religion. There will also be a separation from society among the faithful children of G-d. These seeking scattering individuals will seek out the lands of their ancestors, and remain true to the L-rd, while at the same time resisting the mainstream pull of the government and the society from whence they came. So to answer your question; Mankinds well-being, peace, and security ARE unattainable, but ONLY until the L-rd brings true PEACE to the lands.

The issues are mixed up in the question.
Peace is an inner issue of human being.
Security depends on the situation, and ofcourse the unity as you rightly put it... but only to a certain extent.... Security is relative to the extent to which majority of mankind evolve into a truly 'human' being, after which unity is a consequence. Then, security is threatened only by natural calamities !

World unity is an ideal fashioned by the very exclusive wealthy who seek ultimate control over the entire planet.
It cannot ever be realised, because harmony depends upon diversity.
Too much emphasis is directed towards sameness.
We must first be at ease with differences,
and only on small points will we ever unite with a single purpose.
Understand that the sculpters of our social order depend upon war and insecurity to achieve their ends.
