He suggested to no longer use those in ur ears, and to enable the wax boost- YUCK- No way- i'm going to circulate with the Q-concepts and take my opportunities. I use them to clean my ear rings, rings, necklaces
I use them if Im putting cream or something on a cut or whatever
Also if you have a sore in your mouth and need to be a gel on it, its cleanest to use a Q tip
A lot of people use them for eyeshadow and eyeliner to smear it or make it thinner.... and lipglosses etc...
I still stick them in my ears...how else am I suppose to get them clean?
I think the ear thing is just for babies...but I'm probably wrong.
all I know is it's very handy to keep a box of them around the house because you never know when you might be able to use one.

My doc says if you keep your ears TOO clean, brush your tongue or gargle with antiseptic type mouthwash - you'll be sick all the time as all of that actually filters out too much that actually helps to keep your resistance fighting germs OFF. Know what? it's true. Go figure. Plus - too many people gotta be diggin in dere ears sooo durn far they poke their brains out or sumpin'.
I use a q-tip for make up application and removal - topical med application - clean ups around the spickets and faucet of my bathroom sink that is hard to get around and behind..lots of lil jobs - but never ever in my ear.

I've wondered that too and was told it is so the manufacturers won't get sued if an injury results from using the Q-tip in the ear.
Some women use them when taking off their make-up.

They tell you that so that you don't sue them. But they can also be used for applying makeup and removing makeup smudges.
They can be used for cleaning in small spaces and crevices. They can be used for Hobbies and Crafts. They can be used for first aid and applying ointments and medications. They are also used to swab a babies umbilical cord with alcohol. But everyone also uses them for cleaning ears, just don't shove them in too far. Clean only the outer ear canal very gently.

You CAN clean your ears with them, just not INSIDE the ears. It actually has the reverse effect by pushing the wax further down into your ear canal.
I do it anyway.

That has always been a puzzlement to me. You are not supposed to stick anything in your ear that is smaller than your elbow, or so THEY say.
