my period was due on the 28th of december i did a pregnancy test on wednesday it came back with a faint line i did another 1 yesterday and it came back neg but i did another 1 today and it came back with a light pink line .

Home pregnancy test really good now, read the instructions thoroughly before doing the test. The box of the boxes normally show you what the test looks like when its positive and negative. Personally I got the most accurate results doing the test 1st thing in the morning. If you still unsure after doin another test you should visit your Dr or nearest family planning clinic etc. Good luck anyway.

Yes you may be, although the line is faint, it seems to be there. Some women do not produce enough of the pregnancy hormone for it to show positive or a strong line. It is common to get a false negative result (ie testing too early) but not to receive false positives. Go to your doctor who can carry out a blood test which is much more sensitive & will give you your answer. All the best x

hi julie,i did 9 tests till it was confirmed i was pregnant!im 24weeks now.the 1st 3 i did was just the same as u very faint lines then i went t the doctors and the test they did came back negative,SO a week later i did another which was positive but it was buggin me y the 1 at the docs came back negative,SO AGAIN i bought another 2 check and that was positive so i was back at the docs they did 1 and guess wot it was negative!but the doc told me that u can get a wrong negative but u CAN NOT get a false positive they did another and eventually it confirmed that i WAS pregnant just not that far gone so it wasnt picking up much of the pregnancy hormone so i think u r def pregnant because U CANNOT GET A FALSE POSITIVE!!go 2 your docs.do u want to be pregnant?xxx

I'd wait another week or so and try a pg test again. My guess would be that you are pregnant. When I was between 3 and 4 weeks along, my tests did the same thing (I took 6 tests: 4 extremely faint positive and 2 neg.). I'm 6 weeks now and the line is unmistakable. Good luck and Congrats!!

Are you using the same brand of tests? Some can detect pregnancy earlier than others. That could be why you got a faint line and then a negative. Sounds like you are preggo though. Call your dr and see if you can come in for a blood test.

When I was pregnant with my first child, I took a test and there was a very light pink line. Then I waited a week and retook one again it was much darker and very obvious. It sounds like you may be pregnant. You could get a blood test from the dr to make sure. Also, check of epionons.com. they rate pregnancy tests. Some tests 25 mIU of hcg while others test 100 and up. the tests that test 25 will tell you earlier if you are pregnant since your body level of hcg multiplies every 48 hours. Nobody on here can answer that for you.But any faint lines within 5minutes indicates a raised hcg level if its detected at a pregnant level a line will show no matter how faint.But if its after the time limit on test you will misinterpet your result as i did i had a strong positive after 6 minutes and faint lines on others i wasent pregnant it was because with the first one the time had elapsed and the evaporation line got very strong with the others i was looking too hard at the test.I wouldnt go by an answer you get on here id go seee your gp have a blood test that way its for sure.as you had a neagtive inbetween id say your looking to hard at the result but you never know!

Even if the lines faint, it still means you're pregnant, the netative test - was it a different brand? - some are better than others or you could've done the negative test after a drink which dilutes the pregnancy hormone levels in your urine. Congratulations!

If you are using the same brand of pregnancy test change it. You can get a false negative but never a false positive. You need to go to a Dr to be sure. Unfortunately the HCG maybe weak that maybe why the line is so light but I would go to the Dr to make sure.

When I was pregnant, mine came back with a very faint line also. So I didn't think I was pregnant. Well, we bought one of those ClearBlue Digital Test and I was. So I'd buy one of those or go to the doctor. But it sounds like you are. Congrats!
