I had heard they were going to support larger cards, have they done that yet?

No..the highest Gb you can put in your PSP is a 4Gb...the guy at a sony store told me that if you put any higher you take a chance on Voiding the Firmware and then Sony Would Not Cover That under warranty

Are you from u.s., because in England we do not have 8GB memory playing cards.
