When confronted he actually says that friendship to him is reciprocating. What does he mean?

I did confront him about this. But he told me not to ask him the reason.

Hi,

What he is saying in effect is if he scratches your back, he expects you to scratch his in return, and apparently, he feels like he is the only one doing any back scratching. (Hope that made some sense)

To reciprocate, would mean that for every action, there is an equal and responsive, reaction, or similar action in return.

By specifying male friend, this would lead me to believe you are a female, and perhaps he is looking for more demonstrative actions on your part, either that; or he does not appreciate the things you do for him therefore thinks he is doing all the doing.

This guy has all the earmarks of being a very demanding person and if he does not get his way, . . . .it's asta la see ya.

Maybe he will get over his tizzy and become your friend again, but from what you have said, I wouldn't be holding my breath.

I certainly would not classify him as a keeper for your sake.

Good Luck,

Darryl S.

He is saying that you are not a very good friend, reciprocating means that you get what you give. He has implies that you give nothing thus he would like to start giving nothing in return.

I don't know what your situation is, but sometimes women can unwittingly start using a man emotionally just like some men use women physically. They take advantage of a man's willingness to listen to them and to their problems, but they do not in turn show much interest at all in the man's life or what's going on with him. But again, I don't know your particular situation, so I don't know if this applies here.

Does he give more than he gets? Is that what he is saying? Some male friends stop communicating because a new woman is involved and they don't want to hamper the new relationship.

Reciprocating means its moving back and forwards. Meaning you have bad days and good days and its just difficult.

Sounds to me like he doesn't believe that you are being a friend. Perhaps he feels that he is giving too much to the relationship and your not putting anything into it.

he means that you dont treat him good at all and probably dont appreciate him even if you think you do. i'm in the exact situation and for me guys and girls cant really be friends unless they have no interest in a relationship at all. basically you think you are there for him, but in reality and his perspective you are not a true friend

I hope he likes you and he is trying to forget you before fall in love. If you like him, try to know why he do not want to keep you as a future girlfriend and maybe a wife

He probably wants more than a plutonic friendship and is frustrated. He's playing a game. He wants you to miss him.
