I agree with you pal. I have been a WWE fan my entire life (going on 20 years) so I have seen the ups and downs that Vince McMahon has taken the WWE through. I am a classic wrestling fan and really don't care so much about wrestlers mic skills as I do their in ring ability. Todays wrestling fans would rather see an elimination chamber match between Umaga, Undertaker, Big Show, Khali, Kane, and Lashley rather than an iron man match between Benoit and Angle. In my opinion the WWE is not at its worst point but it is damn close.
The thing is though I realize why Vince is doing what he is doing. Fact of the matter is, it's a business. Vince is going to push wrestlers that the fans enjoy the most, he's going to do storylines that will entertain the majority of his fans, and he's going to do whatever he can in order to get the next dollar bill. If the ratings in the WWE are the highest during a match between Davari and Balls Mahony, they will get a push. Weather classic wrestling fans like you and I agree with it, it doesn't matter. Is
TNA on the rise? Of course. And they are going to continue to rise because they have so far to go. Really their only main eventers are Angle, Joe, Sting, Abyss, Cage, and Jarrett when he returns. Plus they have a large roster with only a one hour time slot. Plus they need are on on thursday nights. So TNA has a lot to do. They need more wrestlers that can draw a crowd (keep an eye on Mysterio, RVD, Sabu, Tazz, and maybe Benoit), they need a longer time slot so they can really have all their big wrestlers on every week and not every other week, and they need to be on on a better night. Friday night would prolly be a good fit for them. So even if McMahon is ruining true wrestling (in our opinion) he doesn't have a HUGE threat in TNA right now.

No. they jumped the shark sometime in 2005. Now they missed the shark and were eaten.
I dont think Russo is goint to hurt TNA. He writing is always "hit or miss" but the wrestling is really good and there isnt too much emphasis on rediculous storylines.
I mean i can do with or without the VKM stuff, and the Abyss storyline, but the angle heel stuff with joe is good and their stuff with nash is entertaining 3/4th of the time and the idea to bring Lynn back into the x division (even if temporary) is genius.
As far as matches and shows, the TNA jan. ppv looks to be the best tna ppv in a while and better (matches) than anything wwe has done since 04, as long as they can execute it well

Vince Russo is God! Yall remember during the attitude era he was the writer during that time in the WWE(back then WWF)So if you ask me the WWE is in MAJOR trouble because TNA is about to run $hit in a minute! But I ACTUALLY gave up on Raw but I still watch Smackdown. Now I'm not pointing fingers *cough*Cena*cough*but as soon as Vince McMahon realizes why the WWE is going in a downward spiral,he'll be able to save it before it's too late and TNA runs HIS @$$ out of business! And I HATE when Cena comes over to Smackdown too!
(YO CENA!YOU HAVE A SHOW TO MAKE CRAPPY,IT'S CALLED RAW!STAY ON THERE AND LEAVE THE LAST HALF WAY DECENT BRAND ALONE BEFORE YOU RUIN THAT COMPLETELY TOO!)

Yes. Professional wresltling as a whole has gone way downhill. It was better when you had a strong WCW going up against WWF/WWE.
Competition brought out the best. But ever since Vince has monopolized things ... it's gotten real boring.

not just celebrities and dumbass skits, but the boogeman and miz. the complete destruction of tag team wrestling, the boring and idiotic diva searches, the mismanagement of ecw, cena, lashley, and batista as champions, ignoring the crusierweight division, the non pushes 4 benoit, rvd, shelton benjamin and charlie haas, etc. they've not only jumped the shark, they jumped about 3 of them.

No TNA stinks and they will NEVER be legit competition for WWE . Neither federation is producing any great storylines but WWE has better talent by far.
