Except for the foods with a high risk of allergy (and honey), or if your family has a history of allergies, your 10 month old can eat everything you do. You generally wait until one year to introduce milk.

Steady growth (monitored by your pediatrician) and introducing a good variety of healthy foods are what is most important. Most of their nutritional needs should still come from formula or breastfeeding.

And, good grief "the_pot_and_the_kettle" even if this Asker was asking for her own child, nearly EVERY parent wonders & worries if their child is eating the right things. There are 10 zillion opinions and no hardfast rules. Yahoo! answers is a great forum to get feedback from others. I'd say YOU'RE the dimwit.

if your baby has teeth and is wanting to chew they have some little foods that are not hard they dont have to chew them completly they get mushy pretty quick, i dont remember what the are called but just go look in the baby food section and look at everything. they have lots of foods that they need. the 3rd stage foods are usually ok if you think you baby can handle them. only you know your baby and what he/she can handle....they need all of the fruits, vegies, and meats.i dont know any websites for you but i have 5 kids of my own that range inage from 8 to 4 months so im bout ready to go through the food thing again so its really not to hard......just try different things.

I don't have any good websites to back it up but I do have four healthy children and one on the way. Mine used to love broccoli florets, green beans, carrots (cooked)...any soft finger vegis are great at that age! Mine never liked the jar foods so I did a lot of cutting into small pieces (I'm guessing it's the texture...I can't say that I blame them though).
