I would definitely say a cat. They actually do lower your blood pressure, they're sweet, and they don't eat a lot. If you need an indoor pet a cat would be the best. We have 2 calico cats, 2 labs, and a dachshund. My friends have 12 sheep, 3 cats, a dog and used to have a horse. I don't know why Ms. Brown thinks dachshunds are so great, because they all the time, they are known for being overweight, barkers, and very hard to train. And on top of all of that, they are expensive, and so is their medical care. They can be sweet, but they are high maintenence. Whatever kind of pet you get, I'd go for a short haired one. Easier management all around.

well for me . . . i would pick a dog. WHY? becuz a dog is loyal , loving, and carin. Its also a companion for u whenever u need someone. PROS: Loving, Kind, Gentle, Caring an fun, U can play w/ ur dog too. CONS: ur gonna have to take care of it, and discipline it. But EVERY ANIMAL IS LIKE THAT a cat is almost the same but its LESS fun then a dog . A cat is usually too frighten and to boring to be around w/ . . . . for me a dog is muchh better

OH, there so great. It's like being five years old again and having an imaginary friend that doesn't fight back and takes your side when your older siblings are making fun of you. LOL
NO seriously though. Dogs are a loving companion that will understand you when your upset and learn what you like and dislike. My dog knows when I'm upset I like her to come up and rest her head on my lap and just be there with me in my time of need. But she knows that when my brother is upset he'd rather have her go sit in her bed and keep her distance.
It stays by your bed side when your sick and helps you keep your new years resolution to exercise (yes, seriously to exercise by running in the park with a leash in your hand) LOL
They play when your happy and keep you company when your sad. There like a perfect best friend that keeps with you no matter what.
And a cat can rub against your leg and sit on your lap when your watching TV or reading a book. There always there to be petted when your stressed out and there rubbing against your leg when you need comforted.
I think you should get a pet. I love them to death and don't know how any1 hurts them and abuses pets with out feeling complete guilt by taking advantage of there innocents.

It depends,if your a quiet person,then u should get a cat,because cats are more calm and quiet.If your not,then get a dog.
