Yes. It is definitely a good buy if you like the Final Fantasy series. I love the new license board, where you have to buy not only the license to use certain abilities, weapons, armor, magicks, etc., but you also have to buy the magicks, technicks, gambits, etc. as well. Also the battle system is the best I have ever seen. There are no random battles....you can see the enemy on screen and choose to attack or just run by. It takes a little getting used to at first, but once you do, it's just like 2nd nature.
Also, it is one of the most challenging games I have played thus far. The boss battles are extremely difficult as the game goes on, but I like that aspect. Most of the other Final Fantasies were easy...you could just easily level up and obliterate a boss. Not so easy to do with XII.

yes man,u should buy any final fantasy game,or any square soft or square eniq game,they are the greatest in the universe,final fantasy is like a drug to me,i feel very happy when i play it,i can go for days with out sleep in playing that game.every final fantasy game gets u 2 a whole new level of joy and happiness,it is the most wonderfull game in planet earth,u would be an idiot and a big fool if u did not buy it already.i just love final fantasy.

yes. It is a great game and not nearly as complicated as some of the other in the series. One thing I like in particular is that you have to earn a license to use each new weapon.

Buy only if you're interested in playing the best looking game on PS2.
And one of the best games of the year.
