Has anybody here had regular pants and skirts altered into maternity ditto?

What did you pay to have it done?

And, which would you recommend -- having a 'panel' put in the front, or having a few inches of the top replaced with stretchy fabric all around the waist?

Re. "Why would you do that?"

Because the maternity clothes I'm running in to are EXTREMELY poorly made. Lousy fabrics, lousy construction. And this isn't the cheap stuff, either.

I'm not saying I wouldn't buy new pants to have this done to... ;-)

i really liked the panel , this way you don't feel that your pants are going to fall down! I did not care for the low rise, that go just under the belly, as i was always pulling my pants up.....i think its a personal preference

I just wore low rise jeans, they go under the belly. Paired with cute peasant tops or maternity tops.

Why would you do that? Just go by some new stuff...hell who doesn't want to get new clothes....its a great excuse to go shopping....and some of the stuff is SOO cute! I would imagine a panel would be easiest though...
