I really want a cat but I don't have time to take car of one. I used to have a hamster but it died. Right now, I have an aquarium with 1 fish, 2 shrimp and one dwarf frog.

My favourite is a dog because they are loyal and are always there to help and support their owner/master. Dogs are wonderful companions and friends.
Horses and fish are nice too and even rats and ferrets make good pets, I suppose it is just a matter of space and personality.

While I do however like all animals including reptiles and spiders (I actually have a pet one) it is pretty hard to "bond" with those types of animals I would have to say that cats are the animal that I least like and the reasons why are primarily the fault of irresponsible cat owners.
I thoroughly dislike cats for several reasons explained below and strongly believe that cats along with agressive dogs should be subject to strict controls and restrictions.
(1) I have vegetable garden and of course cats like nice soft ground to crap in and nobody bothers to lock their cats up- so every day I am faced withnewly planted rows of seeds destroyed seedlings and plants destroyed and foul potentially disease ridden faeces through my vegetables.
(2) I like animals but cant have -fish in my pond, a rabbit, bantam chook, or small aviary birds, not to mention the lizards that I had encouraged in my garden to eat bugs... why.. because other people allow their cats to wander and kill other peoples pets. My two rabbits were mauled through their hutch, a bantam killed, 3 canaries killed, all of my goldfish killed, several adult wild finches and lots of eggs/babies nesting on our tree killed/destroyed, pet magpie (crippled wing) killed, not to mention the allmost all of my lizards [ and it was definitely cats].
(3) Cats carry toxoplasmois (or something like that) that causes abortion in humans and livestock and can also kill birds. This parasitic nasty is exreted in the cat crap and can live in soil for years (as advised by a famous vet) it can also cause mental problems in infected humans (BBC medical programme).I dont want to be exposed to this hazard but trespassing cats create a enduring health hazard that i am sure industries would get hammered for.
(4) Cats are thrill killers, they kill just for the hell of it and therefore have a devastating effect on wildlife. Cat owners I know are constantly denying their cats kills wildlife but keep forgetting themselves and are always telling me about the "pretty birds", and even baby chickens that their cat brought home.
Apologies to the responsible cat owners out there- but unfortunately you appear to be a very small minority.

No doubt, dogs! I hate cats because one bit me..but cats are kinda mean if you think about it. Guess it's the kind you get. But anyways, Dogs because they're loving! Mans best friend right?

Love dogs but they take a lot of training.
Would you believe rats (of all things) make awesome pets? My son brought one home from a friends house, I nearly had a stroke :) But they turn out to be sweet, docile, loving pets who can even tolerate some training. Also great if you have kids around :)

I have an a AFrican Grey Parrot. And I recommend one.
He can repeat full sentences., and he seems to know when to
use them at times. He has a fun time confusing my dogs
by calling them in my voice.He is a lot of fun.

Dogs are my favorite, I do like cats and frogs though.

My little chihuahua is the best!
