Okay, so, the last time I had sex was July 18. My periods have been regular, if not a bit early. They have been really super heavy though, and they last only about 3-4 days. Of course that is all they ever lasted especially after I had my first child. I have just noticed lately that my stomach has been feeling a bit weird, like there is a great big lump sometimes, but then sometimes there isn't. I especially noticed this last night when the lump was really sticking out as I was laying down. I have been chalking it up to being just morbidly overweight, but now I'm not so sure. I didn't have any periods with my first kid, and I surely don't want anymore kids. Any help?

Ok if you were pregnant, you wouldn't be having super heavy periods that are, from what you describe, within a normal length of time. If the last time you had sex was July 18th, and you conceived on that date, you would be 6 months pregnant now. If you are experiencing a lump in your stomach, it could be any number of things besides a baby. It could be a tumor, or you could have a hernia. If you are morbidly obese, as you say, a hernia may be the most likely cause of your "lump." Go to a doctor, ASAP.

I had a lump and a very painful period one month, it turned out to be an ovarian cyst, and cleared up within a couple of months of ovulating. It could also be a hernia due to the weakened muscles from pregnancy.

However, what you are describing is very vague and could be anything, so you should get to a doctor asap and find out what it is.
For your heavy periods, you could regulate your cycle and reduce how much you bleed by going on birth control. Without being on the pill for me I have very heavy periods that last 7 days and are very painful, and the pill has got it under control. I now have a light period for 3 or 4, so it helps. The Depo shot will also slow your period flow.

Go to a Doctor and get checked out. Either way you will need treatment.

See a doctor. Very doubtful that you're pregnant, but having a great big lump in your stomach is a sign you need to see a doctor. Something might be wrong so take care of yourself!

Well considering you would have to be 6 months pregnant by now, I think you would know for sure if you were or not. But see a doctor, make sure everything is on the up and up, there are other things it could be, Good Luck!

I would get to planned parenthood, they do more than just birthcontrol. If you're not pregnant, which it sounds like you aren't you might have a syst. They can check and do a complete pelvic work up. The superheavy part tells me something else may be going on, if you have insurance, see your doctor,if not go planned parenthood. Do not wait, its already been six months.....

For God's sake lady....go to the doctor. You would be like 6 months pregnant now if your last period was 7-18-06.

You probably have already taken a test, but if not, I would take one just in case. Besides that, I think you may have something else wrong, and I suggest you go see a doctor right away!
