What's it like? Is the guy mature? Did he know your age before going out? It's not an issue? Are you considering marriage and kids? Is fertility an issue?

When I was 30 I dated a guy that was 20. We have been married now for 11 years. Age has never been an issue and we get along great.

It is workable. Just like any relationship if the two people are compatible. I know that honesty is the best policy so of course everyone's ages should be told up front therefore it gives the person a chance to choose for themselves if they can handle it or not.

It helps when the 20-something is mature though and there are some that are more mature than 30-something and 40-something males. Be prepared for some little jokes if you choose to tell other people that he is younger than you - unless it is totally obvious - but if they see that he is really into you and you too are really into each other the age thing will totally disappear.

Even with fertility - it all depends on the person. Some people say that 35 is the cut off - I don't believe that at all!!!!!!!!! There are plenty of woman in their late 30's early 40's having healthy babies all the time. Again, depending on the person it may or maynot be difficult to conceive. There are some 20 year old woman that find it hard to conceive.

Whatever makes you happy I would say go for it. If the man is mature enough to handle all that comes his way and the woman doesn't treat him like he is a kid, but as if he is just as old as she is than it can work.

36 dating a 29 year old guy. Unbelievable sex, he's more mature than a certain 43 year old i know, and no, age's not an issue.
We are not considering anything right now, other than feeling madly in love, but fertility's not an issue since he has 3 kids from a previous relationship and i have 2.

From 25 to 31 I dated a guy 5 years younger than me. It was 5 years of headaches (the first was pretty good). I should have ended it much sooner. Yes he knew my age from the beginning and no it wasn't an issue for him (it took some getting used to for me, though). He repeatedly proposed. While I wasn't smart enough to end it, I was smart enough to know that (even though I loved him) I knew marriage wouldn't work between the two of us.
