what bills did the Republican Congress pass in America for Americans. Why didnt the Republicans outlaw abortion? It was the perfect time with Bush Jr + all Repubs but nobody was screaming about how horrible it was.

Republicans are "non-issue voters" / they simply vote Republican because thats what Republicans do. The ONLY political Party that consistantly makes ALL of the important decision are"The Undecided Moderate" if the undecided moderates ever organize, it will be the greatest American political party to ever exsist.

The republican controlled Congress rubber stamped every bill that came through and this is why Bush virtually never vetoed one thing. As for abortion, well that is easy. Abortion is the republican trump card that they pull out of the closet once every four years to use for political purposes. I seriously doubt they will ever sanction the outlawing of abortion as a whole. Like I always say, actions speak louder than words. Are we better off ? No, were not. Were throwing away freedoms granted to us by our fore fathers and thus allowing the terroirist to win.

If the economy is doing so good, then why were christmas profits so horrible?

I don't think we're better off at all! And to jesi who wrote

" The economy is excellent, standard of living up and more discretionary income, salary increases higher than inflation, best stock market ever... lots of good aspects about the economy."

I don't know where you live, but here in the metro Detroit area, the economy is HORRIBLE, the standard of living is DOWN, and the unemployment rate is the highest it's been it years! And on top of that more and more of our troops are dying in the middle east every day. I just hope that the American people as a whole can come together and get the current party out of office in '08.

Speaking as someone that is not totally for abortions, I do however try to have unbiased opionions.
To completely outlaw abortions would be just as horrible as abortions themselves. I believe that is some cased it should be allowed, such as in the case for rape victims (particularily young victims) and in cases where it jeprodizes the mother.
A victim, as hard as it is, tries to get over their trama, so why let them agonize with the reminder for term and or the rest of their life? The biggest travesty was a number of years ago in Ireland I believe it was. A 15 year old rape victim impregnated by her attacker was not allowed an abortion because it was illegal. Her next alternative was to go to an area where it was permitted, and every means was taken to stop her from doing that. Now how was that any of the governments business, and how was that benificial to a 15 year old girl who clearly had no responsibility in what was done? Adoption or not, it is a painful reminder to the girl for the rest of her life, and for the future of the child as well. Lets look at every aspect of everything before we judge. Alot of adopted children seek out there biological parents, wouldnt that be just great after 15 to 20 years of trying to forget?
To make it illegal would make it like drugs. Doctors performing them in their basements in unsterilized conditions. If anything let look at the reasoning for the obortion to begin with, and perhaps make it more difficult so that not everyone can have it done.
As for the political size, it would be suicide for him to do that. If nothing is said about the topic he has all the votes from both sides, if he works at outlawing it, he loses the votes of oneside alot of revenue and can devastate the party for the future. Yes, revenue, I dont like it but unfortunately that is what makes up the governments mind, after all isnt that what its all about to them?

I suppose the tax bill...but that helped the wealthy MORE. I don't think any president will touch abortion with a ten foot pole no matter what they say..its too hot an issue. The Dems would have just filibustered it anyway. I really do not feel we are better off at all.

you wont get a straight answer from a Republican voter because they only vote how they are told to vote by Rush Limbo... there isnt a common sense reason to support the Republican party. They are fizzling away as members run for security in the Libertarian Party.

The republican leaders could care less about abortion. Its just a way for them to secure votes. You, in essence, just pointed that out. Why didn't they outlaw it? They don't want to and they never will.

No new terrorist attacks, Homeland security in place and constantly improving, lower taxes, better economy, Stock market in great shape, more jobs, cheap prescription drugs for seniors, Taliban, Osama, and Saddam kicked out, and Saddam hanged by a new democratic government, trained and experienced troops in the middle east w/ heavy arms and equipment as well as air bases right where we will need them in the future.
The only thing left to do is get the liberal termites out of the system.

Hello there,
Now I would rather be seasick all my life than to be republican, but the truth is that they did do some good. That being.....uh.....well theres......um.......ok moving on..Thats right they made a record breaking deficit, oh wait thats not good....ok ok i got it..cant knock them for this. They made the law that allows you to take your land line phone # and make it yours for your cell(I am sure that is so its easier for them to spy on us now), but it was a good thing for me. Really they just take up space and think of themselves. Also if abortion was ever outlawed, life as you know it would disappear with the massive overpopulation problems. Thanks

I agree that someone should outlaw abortion but I dont think its as easy as you would imagine. If it was the republicans would have done it by now. Good luck getting the dems to do it.
