Early interior the spring regardless of each and everything possibility of frost is handed. positioned approximately 5 or 6 seeds in each and each hill and then skinny to the three maximum useful seedlings. you could transplant any thinnings to a sparkling hill and function 2 hills. Butternut spreads 5 or 6 feet. vines so provide it some area to strengthen. you additionally can toast and consume any extra seeds only like pumpkin seeds, the only difference is the shell on Butternut Seeds is somewhat thicker and harder than pumpkin seeds.

Hello Tom, these guidelines are from Britain, I don't know where you are?
If you want to plant outside in situ wait until all threat of frost has passed.
Alternatively, sow in modules inside and plant out when they're more advanced.
Soaking the seeds before sowing will ease the germination. Have you ever tried the ornamental gourds? Great fun to grow! x

It depends on where you live. I live in Minnesota and I plant mine around the 2nd or 3rd week of may. Just make sure it's after the last frost you have....or you can start them indoors too in order to get a head start.

Depends on your zone.
You can plant after there is no chance of frost in the ground.
