reality romance to me is having my husband opens the door.. kissing me in the morning with bad breath. paying for dinner. telling he loves me infront of his dawgs... i live off of that type of reality romance, and it does not postone sex!!!! now fantasy, no.. because then i expect something that my husband cant do, and there lies the problem. But ofcourse i do my part also to satisfy his fantacies. and i dont think i ever do anything to jeopardize sex.. i mean why would i, it benefits me also :)

"Practically speaking, romance is an illusion created by the everyday women to postpone / jeopardize sex. "
See, you make it sound like sex is the be all and end all. That that is our one single purpose in life. Don't get me wrong, it is important but it ain't everything.
Also, romance wasn't created my the modern day woman. Romance and chivalry have been around for ages. There is actually less expectations for romance now than there was say 50 years ago. As women we have really come around to realize that sometimes it is just about sex and there is nothing wrong with that, but those are not the kind of guys that you want to keep around long term.
I think most women are looking more for actual love than empty romance when it is time to get serious. Until then many are jsut as open to the casual fling as most guys are.

I want both! No really. We were force fed those god awful fairytales as children about beautiful princesses, handsome princes and happily ever after, how do you not expect us to want 'romance'.
As for sex, we all like it. I'm willing to bet most women fantasize about it to some degree. I think that if we all had the guts to think hard on it, we'd find that love/romance and sex are two different things. So, men, find ways to romance us and then find ways to turn us on.

I don't think so...jeorpardize sex? I guess. Women like the fact that the guy takes the time to find out what she like's and makes her feel special. It shows that you care about her. The fantasy part is appreciated too. This gives her that "in the movies" feeling of individuality.
In short, we like a little of both

Of course not, every sane person knows that romance isn't all it's cracked up to be.
