Your alternator is bad and the battery finally died last night. That ticking sound is the solenoid chattering. If you charge the battery the car will run again, but it will die soon.

Actually it could be a number of things but before you go throwing parts at the problem, have a qualified technician TEST a few things to make sure. The "tic tic" you heard is you starter silinoid on the right inner fender wall under the hood clicking. It could be that the starter silinoid went bad, but with the service lights all coming on the night before, it sounds more like a poor / shorted battery or an alternator problem. Once the cars battery is charged fully a simple charging system test and a battery load test can be done to pin point where your trouble is and then the faulty part can be replaced and you're back on the road without replacing the starter, a silinoid, an alternator etc, when you had a bad battery or connection. Wires corrode and build up sulfer this too can be an issue. ONLY until you do the proper tests can you be sure.

If your service lights turned on and your radio turned off and then your lights turned off then you probably lost power either by a blown fuse or by the alternator not charging any more. Sometimes if the alternator belt breaks or falls off then it would trigger lights in the dash to come on and would stop charging your battery and you would be able to drive until the battery goes dead. Or the alternator could have went bad and might need replaced. Most battery/ starter shops and auto parts stores can test the alternator for functionality. The problem is you will have to remove it for them to put in on the machine for testing.
The tick tick sound is probably the soleniod making noise since the battery is dead.

First of all, the tic, tic sounds like your starter brushes are going bad. But with the other electrical problems, I would say you have a wire loose. Check your battery terminals. Clean them, if necessary, with a mixture of baking soda and water. This will boil off any corrosion on the terminals. If after doing this you still have the same problem, you have a wire loose or your alternator could be going out. This would drain your battery.

your battery is dead and your alternater isn't working properly the tic tic noise is the relay turning on but there is not power going from the battery to the starter if you take them both out most autopart stores will check them for free.
