Why is Wrong With My Hoover?

My wet & dry hoover has lost most/all of its suction, and its blowing dust out the back..even thought the dirt it hoovers up is all collected inside and easily emptied..its base seems to be blowing out lots of dust!

I made sure the tube is clear and clean, it seems to be a problem in the base of the hoover, which is confusing as the debris collected is stored in the main trunk of the hoover..its still blowing debris out from where the fan is located..im trying to open it however it the screws are more like rivets which no screwdriver i know could open!

You either have a hole in the filter or a seal that is not sealing. Replace the filter (if it is the replacable kind) even if you do not see a hole in it. A seal issue can also be simply because you put it back together incorrectly, check that.

She said that it is blowing lots of dust out. That can not be a blocked hose or several of the other answers. If you don't know, don't answer.

Sounds like your hoses are clogged or the filter is totally filled with dust and whatnot. Poke something stiff through the hoses if you can't see daylight through the hoses. Get a new filter or take it outside and rap it on something to get the stuff out of the filter folds. Could be that the canister is too full, too, and needs to be emptied. Make sure the lid is secured tightly.

try pulling it apart and giving it a good blast with an air blower if you can and clean all the seals so it seals properly replace any filters it has hope this helps

i had a small hole there at the base of the hose. Maybe you do too.
