Think seriously. We are in the 21st century and in a new millenium.
A yeast infection or fungal infection of the vagina needs an antifungal agent where the infection is .
The best treatment is a whole complete course of vaginal pessaries of metronidazole or fluconazole or econazole.
Don't forget your partner also will need treatment with an antifungal cream otherwise he becomes a permanent source of reinfection.
All your underwears should be ironed with a hot iron after washing and before weaing.
For your own sake stop believing in amateurish treatment because if and when it becomes chronic even your personality changes besides several other complications.I can accept the use of pure yoghurt in the vagina as the lactobacillus will interfere with the growth of the fungus. But i cannot see any specific diet or foodstuffs orally that can help .
Treat it well.If it does not respond consult your doctor
Good luck.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but everyone has a degree of "yeast infection" aka thrush all the time so you can't actually get rid of it.
You can control the flare-ups though, either with an oral anti-fungal eg Nystatin or fluconazole, or with home remedies such as live yoghurt.
For quick relief, get fluconazole, called Canesten if you are buying over the counter. Symptoms should start to ease in 48 hours or so.
Cranberry juice is good for cystitis, not heard of it being used for thrush.

Here's a link to a website that can provide you with the answer(s) to your question:
http://www.webmd.com/hw/womens_conditions/aa10695.asp?pagenumber=2
As well as the answer from the website to your question:
Drink acidophilus milk or eat yogurt with live Lactobacillus cultures on a regular basis. Acidophilus may help correct the imbalance in vaginal bacteria that is present during a yeast infection and is thought to have some benefit in preventing vaginal yeast infections.
Use sanitary napkins instead of tampons while you are using nonprescription vaginal medications. Tampons can absorb the medication.
Avoid using soap when cleaning the vaginal area—rinse with water only.
If sexual intercourse is painful, avoid it. Otherwise, use a water-soluble lubricating jelly (such as K-Y Jelly) to reduce irritation.
If the genital area is swollen or painful, sitting in warm water (in a bathtub or sitz bath, not a hot tub) may help.
Good Luck

I dont know about what to eat but what works for me is a tampon with a few drops of tee trea oil added, insert into your vagina and leave a few hours. Do this once a day till infection clears. It will sting a little at first but this is normal, it offers releif and a natural cure. Tea tree oil can be used undiluted unlike other oils.

I have this problem for more than five years and believe me there is nothing naturally that took it away i had to go to the doctor and have it check what kind of bacteria was it so they can treat it with the right medicine and it seem that is taking it away, One thing that i did was put a garlic clove inside my vagina with a dental floss string attach to it to get it out later and it seem to work for a while but then it came back, you should go to the doctor.

natural yogurt applied directly to the area will help, and drinking cranberry juice or eating cranberries will clear it up,
cranberries act as a natural antibiotic and if taken regularly it will not return. also once a week after it has cleared up apply natural yogurt once a week,
and never again will you suffer
good luck
