generally yes. most people of either sex are very handicapped verbally. They are not good at expressing anything. Women (in general) are more interested in discussing feelings, - which men have not been taught to do, and are not naturally good at. And Men, in general, are programmed to be problem solvers, though most aren't good at that. There are many books recently which help somewhat in the communication field.

You are right. The reason is in the way the brain works in a woman vs man. Women are generally more detailed oriented, and men are results oriented. Read "Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars" to get a more clear understanding.

Not necessarily.
Men go into details in a work situation - such as an engineer is very detailed minded, and works with details all day.
My beau is very detail minded and very talkative. I'm the one who just wants to "cut to the chase".
Bottom line - it just depends upon the individual, and stating a generality about a gender is not always going to be the case.

Boy, did your question have to be so long-winded & drawn out? LOL
My wife is very detailed in conversations! She takes 20 minutes to say what should take 3 & means that it takes me that amount also b/c she interupts to ask pointless & irrelevent details. If I tell her about me talking to someone, she wants to know were they sitting/standing, what were they wearing, how was the hair, did he have a mustache, did she have a gap in her teeth, how old were they, were they slim, tall, heavy and many other things that have absolutely nothing to do with our conversation or the point of the story that I no longer want to tell b/c of the inquisition of irrelevent facts & forgot the rest b/c I am distracted with the questions!

You are right. Men dont need to tell a story about a stabbing by tellin you what color shirt the guy had on. Men are factual beings, all we want are the facts, who, what, where, when. Anything over that and we tune you out anyway.

I agree with you that women tend towards details in almost about everything except when they are betraying their man with another
there they don't like to go into details.

Not true in my relationship. Hubby is the one who wants to go on and on forever. I'm the "get to the point" type of gal.
