I work at a daycare and we're having trouble thinking of stuff for the kids to do during the nasty weather...we prefer they don't go out during the colder days (and they're never aloud to during the rainy ones) and we just need some good tips and advice of what we can do instead!! Keep in mind...there's days when we have up to twelve kids and three adults...so things get crazy and we can't do anything too time involving too much attention and supervision to each individual child.

There is typically two or three adults and 9 kids (just an adv. on the kids)

Heads up 7 up! We use to play it when I was in elementary school and we weren't aloud outside due to bad weather. You pick 7 people (can be less since not so many people) and everyone else puts their heads down and cover there eyes but leaving one hand out with your thumb sticking up. Then the 7 who are "it" tap someones thumb. When your thumb is tapped you keep your head down but tuck your thumb into your fist. After all have "Tagged" someone those who had been tagged stand up and have to guess who picked them. If you guess incorrectly you sit back down if you guess correctly you get to switch places with the person who picked you. And then you go again.

Get a Ramada to keep the playground if you have one dry then they go play under it and partially get wet. if not then Still have a RAMADA but this time get a better one that is water proof and bring and get extra shirts just in case but it is most likely they won't get wet. Or play tag duck duck goose or even SING. If not then play red light green light or play Musical chairs. or heads up seven up or freeze dance.
