I was wondering if anyone can suggest any changes to my diet/regime which can ensure I will be fresh right through the day.

Might want to use Friday lunch time for a 20-minute power nap.
Or even right after work for half an hour, as long as you don't get sucked into sleeping too long and just sleep the whole night away. Most people don't go out until later in the evening anyways, so you should have time to rest up.
If your Friday work routine leaves you feeling sluggish (perhaps you sit at a desk all day) try to vary your routine so that any errands you have to run or any walking around the office, etc., can all be done throughout the afternoon Friday. That ought to keep you up and keep the ol' blood circulating.

Your tiredness may stem from a previous late night, so try going earlier to bed on a Thursday.
On the Thursday try eating your evening meal before seven o'clock as this maybe effect your sleep pattern then.
If you live within a short distance of your work try walking as exercises will increase your energy levels, or get off the bus/train one or two stops before your it will save you cash and trim your waist line.
If you are consuming instant sugars (carbohydrates) such as chocolate, white bread, white pasta and crisps, these can be leading you to have energy crashes.
You may be sub-conscience not wanting to go out do to repetitive routine of drinking at the same pub,bar or club (or other Friday night activities).
Or there be an underlying health problem such as diabetes or over/under active thymus gland, but this would only be the case if your tiredness was more than on Fridays, as you may only notice this on a sociable night of the week such as Friday and Saturday.

After working all week, getting up at 6 am for work, I never go out on Friday nights. Take it easy on Friday and then go out Saturday night.

I feel the same. Best thing to do is make sure you get to sleep much earlier on the Thursday night - obvious I know. Also go out and get some fresh air at lunchtime.

I find that when I excersise for 10-15 minutes a day, it helps me big-time!

Push-ups also are great for keeping a man's libedo up(as upper body exercise does wonders no blue pill could ever do...)

Stay away from fried foods(KILLER!)

If you smoke...stop!

If you drink...don't drink to get drunk!

Drink a glass of FRESH water when you wake up to rinse all the toxin's you body has been working on ridding of.

Go out on Saturday : )
I would advise getting 7h sleep on weekdays if possible and don't eat too many carbs or sugar before you plan to go out as that will make you sleepy and sluggish.
Drink some coffee to pick yourself up before you go out.
