There are sites that I visit that I don't want my kids to visit or even know that I visit, so, how do I clear out the addresses in the address bar when I want to?

Like the others said. There is also a utility made by employees at Microsoft called TweakUI; it has a setting to routinely clear your history.

Also, check out Heatseek ( http://www.heatseek.com/ ). It is based on Internet Explorer. It is a password-protected browser that encrypts your history and downloads. When it installs, it asks you what you want it to be installed as, so you can call it something inconspicuous, like "Lyrics DB Pro" or something of that nature.

If you clear the history on your computer, they wont be able to see anything. Just go to tools> internet options> clear history> yes.

At the top of the page, go to TOOLS, then INTERNET OPTIONS, and at the bottom you need to click on CLEAR HISTORY.
