I am 18 weeks pregnant now and i know that i want to have the baby shower before the baby is born so i can be ready for the baby! but i dont know when i should make it, i am due june 13th

i had my baby shower for my son when i was 8 months pregnant. that gave me lots of time to get organized and figure out what i still needed to buy.

It depends on your specific circumstances. In my case, I was visiting my family abroad, and I have just a few friends and in-laws here, so, eventhough I was just 5 1/2 months pregnant, I had my baby shower there and it was GREAT! I got almost all the baby clothes, and now, a month after, I am doing some research and shopping around with time before buying the furniture and gear (for safety issues, etc). Anyway, I would say to have your baby shower between 7-8 months is ideal, just try to have everything on time so you don't get exhausted in the last month buying things in the last minute, etc. Good luck!

I tried to have mine done about a month before my due date. That way there's time to get eveything ready and go out and buy some of the things I thought we'd need right away before the baby was born.

I had my baby shower after the baby was born. My aunt had a miscarriage and her shower was before her baby was due, and she was left with all this stuff that broght some sad memories. So my mom waited to make sure everything went ok.

why have a shower when youre pregnant?
i plan on waiting til after the baby is born and have the shower then
i figure by the time im that far along i may be too miserable to enjoy myself at the party

The office is having one for me next week. I'll be 8.5 months. My mom was talking about having one for me as well though I don't know when she'll do that or if she really will. That one would be a good one to do after the baby is born, like 6-8 weeks. So my friends whom I don't see very often anymore can meet my little one.

Hmm, how about the second weekend of May. It's close to the due date, but not so close that you could miss your own shower if the baby happens to show up a little early : ) Have fun!

Congrats on your baby,you should be having your baby shower when you're about 8 months so you can be ready,you still have some time ahead,i'm 8 months preg and i'll be having my baby shower on saturday,i'm really exited,good luck!

You should have it 1 to 2 months before your due then you will know what you still need to get if you didn't get it at your shower.

I would think the mid to last week of May would be good. It gives you a few weeks to get ready. It will also give you something to do to help pass the time waiting. Those last days seem to drag on and having new things to get ready helps. You will need to wash all the things that you will be using, sheets, clothes, bottles..etc. Best of luck to you and congratulations!!
