I am doing something noble and wish to be interviewed by local papers so that i can get more support for my cause.

Call them tell them what you want.I'm sure they will check you out to see if you have anything worthy to be printed.

If it is a very noble deed, someone will take notice from the local newspaper and write about it.Otherwise, forget it.

Do something creative, Different from Others, so that other would be inspired from U, Now Media will run after u, U wont have to worry for that now.

I was interveiwed by my home town's newspaper this last Fall, 'cause I had entered a writing contest and won! MAJOR TIME WIN!

you send them a press release.. fax it, e-mail it, mail it, then call them and ask them that you want to talk to the assignment editor and ask her/him when will be a good time to schedule an appointment..... you should do this with all your local newspapers so if one says no.. you have the others to depend on.
