As a young adult just starting to become an honest taxpayer (puke), I'm not sure how to do any of this. I am a college student who works part-time at an NPO--Foundation, and they just gave me my W-2. What do I do now? i.e., How do I get money?!?

Go to any post office. Ask them for Tax forms-If it is your first time filing taxes, a 1040A or 1040EZ form will work. They come with instructions woth them. Fill them out, and mail them in to the addresses given, and you will recieve a refund if any excess money was taken out, after they take out the tax you owe for the year, if any. Don't forget, You have to file twice with different forms, once for Federal, and once for State.
If you use a tax preparer place, like the answer above, be prepared to give up $50-200 of your money to them just to prepare a form that would take you 15 mnutes to do yourself. Or, buy TurboTax online, an easy online tax form that even lets you file electronically.

Go to H&R Block or Hewitt Jackson. I wouldn't suggest you try to prepare the taxes on your own. Get professional help. Take them your W2 and they will do the rest for you for a small fee and now a days you can get your refund within a day or sometimes the same day. You may even get a tax credit for you college tuition so be sure to give them a call before you go so that you will know what documentation to bring with you.

go to a tax preparation place of your choice. Give them your w2, and then let them do it. Wait a week or two, and collect your return.
Or, you can efile it for free on the internet. You choose which way you want to do it.
Good Luck.
