In the begining of the galaxy, the earth indulged as an empty planet and gradually it start evolving life to it. after millions of years of evolution, it become green house and most fittest for living beings.
Now, it is going towards what we say as distruction, Where as I call it as constructive way. (e.g every organism florished on earth made a path for new life. it's never ending cycle)
The point is Why we need to bother to save the planet? where there nothing in danger.
When it disappear in one form and appear in another form. Why don't we consider it as an path for new life.

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN!!!

The big problem is TECHNOLOGY. That is an "unnatural" developement that is causing unwarranted changes to the earth that are difficult to recover from. However, as long as you don't mind humans becoming extinct, it isn't really a problem. All things considered, I vote for planet earth!

I'm no tree-hugger, but we are using the resources way more rapidly than the earth can replenish as far as keeping the balance. The depletion of resources moving at that rapid pace means the earth has to struggle to find a new balance constantly. It pains me to see the deforestation since I like living on the Earth and the trees make the air safe to breathe. I don't even recycle and feel badly about that, but just consider the deforestation if nothing else. New life? Not as we know it. It isn't evolution. It is killing the Earth slowly.

Finally, a clear thinker. You're right, we don't have much, if any, control over the earths ecology. If we refrain from slashing down every rain forest, and polluting every river and ocean, its about all we can do. The earths restorative powers will take care of the rest, as it has after every ecological catastrophe of the past such as worldwide floods, asteroid strikes, vulcanism, tectonic upheaval and the like.

Yes, the ecosystem can "repair" itself. The problem is that it is having a hard time repairing what humans have done and added to the system. With the increase in the population, the ecosystem does not have the time it needs to properly reclaim itself to the status before the reign of humans.

As human beings we want to preserve human life. But you are right about the earth healing itself. The earth cleaned up the giant oil spill we had. Yes, I think the earth was designed to take care of itself.

Your right we do not need to do anything for the earth to balance itself. We only need to act if we want human life to survive the earths natural ability to balance itself
