Sounds as if he's not ready for a relationship. Dump his sorry butt and move on.

Tell how you feel and talk to him in an appropriate time.. when he is busy, relaxing, watching sports, with his mates or after sex is not a good time.
Go on a date and have general chat then tell him how you feel.
Writing things down and asking him to read it might help.
Unless you are with a guy that does not care for you and is using you, most guys want to listen to you, they don't know that they arent and it has to be a good time. Also, we woman do have a tendency to talk and talk and talk.. is it talk that you can share with a girlfriend? Why would he want to hear that?
Make sure it's stuff he wants to hear, and he should care about how your day was ... just not if Angelina and Brad should be married :D

Well if everything you say is as vague as what you just told us I could see why. In order to make people want to listen to you, you have to be saying something worth listening to. You have to peak their interest.

Well, first decide whether everything you say to him is worth listening to. And if he doesn't listen to anything - worthwhile or worthless, he sure doesn't care too much for you. Now you decide, what you want to do.

Not pressurise him for accepting your instructions

hey u don seem serious enough but even then i wud love to ans. ur Q....................do things in a different manner.................. i mean do things in a completely opp. way to ur usual style...like if u used to giv a smile wenever u saw him previously ....now giv him a frown.don avoid him completely either................act as if watever he does makes no difference to u n its absolutely ok wid u............after a few days he'll start listening to u..........this is wat happens in typical hindi movies...guess it,ll work in ur case!!!!
