What you need is a garage, a complete tool box and tools, and a trusted technician to fix your problem. If you don't know how to do something don't try, you will break more than you fix.

It's not a specialty tool per say. What you need to do is go down to the parts store and when you buy your return line, ask for a set of "line wrenches". The counter person will know what you're talking about. Also get a can of WD40 and soak the fitings down to be sure that you don't strip them out during removal. That would really suck. Remember that you're dealing with compression fittings. It is possible to overtighten them so don't overdo it. Good luck.
