Hi, I just recieved a call from someone at a place called the information team claiming to have a message for me. When I rang back they kept me on hold for 21 minutes at a £1 at minute. then hung up.. Is this a telephone scam?

Never believe that a total stranger would call you to give you a message. You didn't ask for a message service, you didn't participate in any lottery or prize draw, and they ain't gonna give you money just because they Love you, right?
Never ever comply when a total stranger calls you and asks you to call them back! They have probably "harvested" your phone number and you will be getting billed for calls all over the world. I would contact your phone provider about this so they monitor your billing.

Yes my friend got this exact same message yesterday. She just deleted it. It's definitely a scam. Sorry you got stung.

I keep getting these calls from a debt recovery company . I`ve called them twice to get my name removed, They say they are looking for a completely different person....Now they`ve called again ! It`s an 800 number though...So I think I`m safe.......
