Ask for help when you need it or try to help yourself because you have too much pride?

I mainly try to help myself...
(I'm very independent, proud, due to background & upbringing)
However, when I really need help with something truly important (like saving someone... etc) or at times in work situations delagition becomes a must or you be snowed under then I am not shy at all (nor do I let pride over rule or get in the way).
For example when traveling, or on a mission, I will ask for help all the time as it's essential to progress. I helped a guy once who was having a heart-attack and (believe me) I HAD to take control of everone around to get the amulance, report back to me that they got through etc and to back off and stay calm, this was personnally a very rewarding thing, even though I slipped off when the medics arrived...
However in normal circunstnces I will try myself as I save asking for help to when it really matters, (I don't cry wolf, but when there is a wolf I expect / demand assistance for the good of all around).
Increasing now I will ask those who I have helped and others (and I love to help) for help, it's usually fun to do things together. But wisdow and pride always dislikes the users of good intents and people, but hey that one things that makes life interesting...

I ask for help when I need it in certain situations. It all depends on what I need help with and who is around to ask. When I try to do something myself it is not out of pride but out of confidence that I can do it.

I mostly try to help myself rather than asking for help but..
I surely ask for help when I need it however I would pick right pepole to ask help from!
well sometimes I dont ask for help from some people who might blame me or make fun of me after wards out of the pride ...

I am very independent and will only accept help when I have no other option. Even so, I feel awkward at times and I am learning to swallow my pride.

I try to help myself first: I like the challenge and occasionally I learn something.
But I'm not above asking for help.

I usually only ask for help after I've tried to do it myself a bunch of times and still can't.

I try to do everything by myself. I don't like becoming dependant on others, but sometimes I wish I had the courage to reach out to others.
