It portrays men in a vulnerable situation, but mostly, for all the great reviews, I don't think anyone believed these two characters loved each other-- actually they seemed to really hate each other.... This movie was about a forbidden lust, in my opinion, not a genuine love...I was not impressed, I am sure most men were not either. Also, maybe some men have encountered something like this before and it makes them uncomfortable.

I don't hate it, just have no desire to see it.
I'm waiting for Brokeback Mountain II (the fur traders) same kind of movie except with women.
