You should have a system restore disk. Insert it into the drive and turn you computer off and then boot it back up. Make sure that you do a complete format of your computer. If you only have the WinXP disc, you can do the same thing. Make sure that you do a complete format and then you will be able to use your computer just like it is new.

You should have the install disks from when you first bought it.
So it should be a case of booting the PC with the install discs in and choosing the complete install rather than the repair option.
At some point it will ask you if you want to format the disk, you just select yes.
The best method is to partion your drive into two parts.
Use C: for your XP operating system
Use D: for your Data...
Then in future you can reinstall the OS and keep your data.
Or you can wipe your data and keep your OS..
Mail me or IM me for assitance if you get stuck.

Yup just load the disc and restart the computer. Yoour best bet is to just do a complete reinstall. All you need is the disc and the liscence code on the sticker. Other than that you just follow the prompts. It'll take a while though so plan a half day for it. Also don't forget to load ALL of the updates before you start surfing.

You will need to reinstall your operating system (Win XP from the sound of it).
For this you will need the windows xp disk.
You will need to set your PC to 'boot from CD' then insert the disk and restart your machine...from there you follow the instructions on the screen.
The procedure to get your PC to boot from CD varies so for specifics consult the website of your PC manufacturer.
But you will need the Windows disk to do this.

You should have a "recovery system." There are two types of recovery. "Partial Recovery" resets your computer back to a previous date of your choosing. The other is a "Complete Recovery" or "System Restore." This sets your computer back to the way it came out of the box. You should create recovery disks before doing this. Your computer should guide you through the process. Good luck.

You will either have a recovery disk or have to create one, (your PC instructions explain how to create a recovery disk),
However, if you already have one, it's simply a case of saving any files you want to keep onto a cd or dvd then inserting your recovery disk and rebooting the PC, normally it then guides you through a complete factory reset of your machinr

You will have to reformat your hard drive. You will need the windows installation disk to do this. Restart your comp with disk inside and hold f7 while comp is booting this will take you to safe mode. once you are in safe mode go to menu and select reformat drive c from the options menu (make sure drive c is the drive used for your hard drive) . It will take a while for it to reformat and you will lose everything on the har drive so make sure everything is backed up first.
