Yeah i do. Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iversonwill be a great scoring duo, but there's going to be ups and downs between them. There's a chance that they are going to win the championship

He WILL be the leader of the Nuggets but he will NOT get a ring. Iverson is a natural leader. Players are intimidated by his "presence". He has the "aura" of authority, not to mention the skills to back it up, and players automatically respect him for it. Carmelo only wishes he could command the respect of players around the league like Iverson does. A.I.'s been "the answer" for years now. Melo will always be second fiddle to Lebron and Wade. The Nuggets DO however have a talented team (as if they weren't talented already), but I still don't get the feeling of them considering themselves a TEAM when I watch them. They don't play offensively as a team with ball movement, nor do they play defensively as a team with help defense. THAT is the thing that the Nuggets need now more than ever.

Iverson is not a ballhog and he's not selfish. Unfortunately he got that label early in his career and he hasn't been able to shake it, even though every year his assists have increased and he's the only guard in the league to average over 30 points AND more than 6 assists per game. He's never had the right pieces in place to help him so he's had to carry the load. The closest thing to another 'superstar' he's ever played with was an injured Chris Webber. With Chris in his prime, the 76'ers could've been the closest thing to Jordan/Pippen & Shaq/Kobe. But to answer the question, he won't be the new leader. He's already said he's looking forward to playing with Carmelo...a current superstar. He has no problem deferring to Carmelo. At this stage in his career he's more interested in a championship than scoring 40 points per game. But I'm not sure about the ring. They still need to get past Phoenix, Dallas & San Antonio.

Based on what I seen so far, Iverson has shown leadership on the floor. That being said, I do think he needs to give that role up for Carmelo when Melo returns to the court and learn to take a back-seat & play team concept. Carmelo has seniority and it is his team. If not, egos will fly and it will be Kobe/Shaq (yes, sad for us Lakers fan) all over again. Ultimately, that would determine if they win championship b/c now a days, talent alone don't guarantee the ring. Lakers w/ Malone, Payton, Kobe, and Shaq proved that. Too much egos were involved.

iverson is already proving to be a leader but even the return of carmelo will not be enough to give the nuggets a ring,,,,they need a dominant big man to complete the troops if they want any chance of getting a title

No and Yes

I dont think Iverson will ever feel comfortable in the Team leader role off the court.

If you mean on the court then yea he can be a good floor general.

However they are gonna have to find someone else to be the team leader off the floor

and Yes, they have a good shot of winning this year, will they?? probably not, but they could

He will get a ring but Carmelo and K-Mart will lead the nuggets because they are experience in the western conference

I'm just waiting for A I to implode. He is a talented player with the personality skills of T O or Randy Moss. He will miss some meetings, a practice or two..... In my mind he has never been a true leader of anything.

No...but I do think he will not get along with Carmelo or Karl and the Nuggets will have difficulty becoming a good team again. The guy is selfish...that is never good in a team game. It never leads to championships.
