Although there is nothing wrong with a sign or even a post it note, it can lead to problems. Even though you wouldn't intend to, you may forget to leave the note, or turn the sign over to indicate the fish have been fed. When this happens, your fish may end up being fed more than you would like, or worse, not being fed at all.
What I do with my fish is this; I feed them at the same time everyday, and everyone else in the house knows that is my responsibility. There is no confusion whether to feed them or not to feed them. Maybe this will work for you, maybe not, but it works for me.

dont use the liquid element you acquire, there are all organic recommendations to each and all of the topics. using chemical compounds only hurts fish. seems such as you have a small algae issue, there are some issues you're able to do to cut back the priority, and water differences isn't one in each and every of them. a million. cut back the quantity of sunshine the aquarium is getting, the hood lighting fixtures furnishings dont truly provide that lots gentle so im no speaking approximately them. its greater if there are domicile windows close to through the image voltaic is basicallyfuel for algae like another plant life. 2. purchase a bristlenose pleco. they stay small and are impressive aglae eaters. tey will sparkling your tank in a pair days. stay removed from common plecos which strengthen as much as two ft, and siamese algae eaters that are missnamed and are in basic terms a merchandising/merchandising con. they dont even consume algae after 6 months previous. bristlenose plecos are the final 3. choose for one selection or the different, with the aid of fact in case you gett a pleco he will desire algae to consume, or you ought to purchase him some algae waffers or feed him sliced of zuchinni. additionally make confident your tank doesnt receive any direct image voltaic. thats too lots gentle for any aquarium

The problem with this is who will remember to remove the sign the following day? I say hang up a calander behind the aquarium and put an X on it when they have been fed.

Well I don't know about the sign you want but Just set a new rule. NO ONE feeds the fish except you. Or UNLESS they are asked by you to feed them. I have a fifty five gallon fish tank. My old feeds the fish every single night. I don't touch the tank UNLESS she ask me to. Works for us.

Keep the light off until you feed the fish. When the light is on, your roomies know that the fish have been fed. When it is off, they know to feed them. That is what me and my husband do.

Better to just let one person do the feeding. That way you know it stays under control.
