Some people do it because they feel they are a burden to others around them and that it would benefit others for them to be gone.

Others wish to alleviate their own pain.

Still others have lost the desire to live and think that suicide is better than facing reality.

It's not always a rational decision.

I think most of the suicidal people are crying out for attention. They feel worthless, alone and unloved. If they only knew the broader picture I don't think they would ever consider it. Even I have considered suicide. I was going to do it early in my marriage to get my husband's attention as warped as that sounds. The things that kept me from it was that I really didn't want to die and I was afraid either I wouldn't be found in time or I would botch it and be an invalid the rest of my life. Thank God I didn't do it!! All has worked out well. I have a wonderful family, including two daughter in laws and a #1 Granddaughter!! YEAH!!

I believe that some people think that suicide is a good plan because if you have done something really wrong and you know you are going to jail and possibly get death row some people think that there is nothing else to live for anymore.

Because they are very confused, and have "worked" themselves up into a state of complete desolation and depression!

They are in such a state of mind where they can no longer "function" and can see none of the solutions, they desperately need some of the pressure "relieved" but they don't know how to do it on their own...
they have reached a point where they lose all desire to "fight" to overcome ...they see their life as having no more purpose...and that the easier alternative would be to just die and go to sleep...(peace at last)....
Their mental state has bottomed out and they need quick "intervention" by someone that is mentally healthy...and has enough good sense to get them professional help!!!

If this is a PERSONAL question for yourself...PLEASE KNOW>>>there is HOPE and HELP!!!
If it is a question for someone you know and care about....PLEASE >>>GIVE them HOPE and HELP!!!

Because when you get into a deep state of depression, for whatever reason, you feel that ending your life is a last resort & best solution. Which is incredibly stupid, and incorrect. There's always another solution.

sometimes its better not to feel and its a form of escape from overwhelming feelings. Sometimes someone may not want to die but to just not feel again.
