The yahoo answer is YES, forget that blue/red crap. In Superman 2 or 3, when he's fighting Zod and the others from the phantom zone, he leads them to his fortress of solitude and takes away their earth powers while restoring his own, during that encounter he appears to them in several places at once to confuse them, saying, "I used to play this game when I was a kid". So, you ain't dreamin'.

No, your spirit can only be earthbound or in some branch of heavan. Your friend probably visits you all whenever she can. She can probably travel just by thinking about a place. ( No clumsy legs and feet to trip over or tire out.) I guess you can talk to her even if you can't see her and maybe she can hear you. It may be possible for her to visit you in a dream. This grieving process takes time. The only way to get over someone is to get through all the pain. It might help to remember her as if she's gone on a trip and hasn't got back yet. You will meet with her when your time on Earth is through. You will preserve her when you tell others about her. Don't let the despair make you consider suicide. Grief really hurts but you will recover. Life will never be the same but it will at least feel normal again someday.

There was an episode of "The Adventures of Superman" starring George Reeves where Superman had to go to prison. (The reason escapes me for the moment.)
While he was in prison, he learned of a plot to do some misdeed to Jimmy, Lois, and Metropolis in general.
He asks to speak with some scientist, and they discuss the possibility of Superman changing his vibratory pattern and thereby split into two people. The drawback of this would be that each would only be at half-strength.
Of course after it's all over, they merge and become a single Superman again.
http://www.tv.com might be able to elaborate on this.

No. But there are at least two supermen, from earth 1 and earth 2. When the whole multiverse collapsed, Superboy ended up beating everyone, including a superboy and killing Kal earth 2 superman. Infiinite Crisis I believe is the name of the graphic novel.

If you are speaking of the Blue/Red caped Superman, in essence, no. He was capable of moving so quickly from side to side and making changes that he could APPEAR to be in two places at once, but in effect human eyes could not process the movements.
It was explained in one comic I remember reading, explaining how the eye can only process a certain number of images persecond. Going past that, Superman was able to use that deficiency to his advantage and appear as both Superman and Clark Kent to Lois. But truthfully, he was in each space separately, for only a micron of a second each.

Very few people remember it, but I have several issues of some very old Superman stories - and they can blow your mind.
In those issues, Superman not only appears in multiple places at the same time, but also: plays villians, fights himself as villians, creates android duplicates of himself, clones himself, makes time duplicates of himself, uses both the time treadmill and the time ring to travel back and forth in time to help himself out during tough missions, lives, dies, comes back to life again, is undead, becomes a voodoo zombie and much much more.
And some of these events are also chronicled in both Legion and Jimmy Olsen comics as well.

In the Late 90's there was a story arc where he became 2 people SupermanRed and SupermanBlue. when he got new powers and costume. he had to mentally activate his powers, and needed a special suit to retain corporeal shape. Each one was Clark as well, one wore a red tie, the other Blue obviously
By this point he and Lois were married and she made both of them sleep on the couch until he was eventually returned to normal by the' mystic powers of the universe' they had split him, because the new powers and the 2nd version were required to save the universe. when he succeeded he was returned to normal
