Is there something i need to do to be able to do them or what?
Ive played all the need for speed games and just dominated all of them.....these drifts are kicking my a@@!!!!
Also, ive won one canyon race by chance i guess. (the boss races) is there a trick to them also. They are HARD as hell!!!

Well, the first thing you need to do is get drift tires. That will help you out dramatically. To do this go to customize, performance, tires, and set them all the way to the left for drift tires. When you enter a drift race, get your speed up. Just as you are about to head into a turn, cut your wheel opposite the turn and lightly tap the brake once. As you are in the turn, keep using the left stick to move into the direction of the turn.. It's really all about timing. Also, you want to use a car that doesn't have high handling. Using a car with high handling hurts your drifting score. I use one car for drifting, and another car for the other races. Good luck with it. You'll get it with some practice.

Need For Speed Carbon Drift

The car will drift automatically when you turn, so you need to get the timing down on when to turn the wheel back to straighten your car out in the drift runs and also hold the gas down for the entire drift. No sense in trying to drift a stopped car. For the boss races, a good trick I picked up is that when it's your turn to lead, if the Boss gets too close, let him hit you a few times. Each time he does it adds 5000 points to your total. Just be careful going around the hairpin turns too fast though.

Mustang-too much power and torche, horrible to drift Rx-8-quick and agile a good drift car Lotus-small, agile and not bad at drift. the trick is to make sure you use acellerater braking (thumbing the acellerater) as you go round corners, this is easier on flat courses but can be done on canyon drifts aswell aslong as you dont panic as you come up to the yellow strips which break, dont use the brake or handbrake at all it will slow you down too much and can cause you to spin out. hope that helped.

Drifting in carbon is not the same as in most wanted.
in carbon what counts is your speed.
the faster u drift the more points u will get.
so it is better to drift when the gauge on top of the screen is filled (when it is blue). To do combo drift you must change direction while drifting. Remember not to hit the wall!!
