I only have a few xbox games at present and have not played them for some time, though I wondered if it is worth upgrading to a 360 to get more out of my new HDTV. I mostly like 'shoot em up games'

As someone who just got both an HDTV and a 360, it is soooo worth it. I was standing up close to my TV just in awe about how crystal clear the graphics were. I am seeing things in games now that I never did on a regular TV. And some games like Dead Rising NEED an HDTV to be able to read any of the fonts. I hated spending so much money for a TV and a console, but playing Oblivion it's sooooo worth it!

Hell yeah. If you like shoot em up, then wait until November 2007 when Halo 3 is released. If you think Gears of War look bad, Halo 3 should look sick. You will appreciate playing Halo 3 on a 360 with a HD TV.

no freakin way. you should get a nintendo wii, and the high definition cables for it to view the mighly immersive games in a 480p resolution. if you do get a 360, then get a intercooler for it before you even buy a game.
