No, I dont believe that is true. The evidence is what matters.If one lawyer thought he was better than the other it could have negative results. I have been on two juries and in one the defense lawyer must have thought he was better. He made a point of giving his name and saying he was a partner in a law firm from Chicago. This was down state and he felt we were too dumb to understand what the judge was saying. He was very disrespectful to all concerned in that courtroom. The judge warned him twice about correcting him and the prosecuting attorney or addressing the jury but he just kept doing it. It made him and the defendant look bad.

As a juror I looked at the evidence and did the best job I could of looking passed the BS of the lawyers. I also watched the defendants a lot.

in the very near future criminals may be hiring actual Hollywood movie stars so the jury gets the best show, and the best show even if it is not fact or even the truth wins, even now
