A beats B by 15m This means when A moves 100m B moves 85m B beats C by 10m This means when B moves 100m C moves 90m When B moves 1 m C moves 0.9 m So when B moves 85m C has moved 0.9 X 85 = 76.5m A has beaten C by 5 seconds OR by ( 100 - 76.5) i.e 23.5m So C takes 5 seconds to move 23.5m 1 second = 23.5 /5 = 4.7m / second ANSWER
