the same thing happened to mine. its in the garbage now. i tried the hair dryer trick. bought a new battery and new charger. wasted a bunch of more money. the verdict. you will need a new phone. these phones are not built well to resist water or falls. That little circle sticker thing on the back: if it turns red its cooked.

Yesterday morning my cell phone went through the washing machine with my laundry and then into the dryer for several minutes before it was retrieved. I could see moisture inside on the screen and it has not turned on since. I have talked to several people who work for Cingular and this is the response: first woman said it was fried because the water causes corrosion. Next person told me to give it time to dry out and that it was possible it may work again. The last one I spoke to when I went to the store to buy a new one told me he has seen phones go through the washer and dryer and work again. I have this feeling that mine got destroyed and I am going to buy an new one (they were out of stock when I was there).
So, that is the way it goes. Brace yourself for you may need to buy a new one if yours doesn't turn on again.

My sister had a similar component take position. She enable hers dry out and it worked for her, she took off the battery and some component that got here aside effectively and enable it sit in a dry warmth area. It worked in very few days even as she placed it lower back mutually. the different decision should you does not have insurance on your telephone, and drying it out would not artwork is this... purchase insurance for your telephone, wait till you've gotten made a fee in the route of the peace of mind. do not tell the cellular company that your telephone merely isn't operating or that you actually dropped it in water. when you've made a fee, call and say your cellular isn't operating, they are going to deliver you a sparkling one thinking that you may have insurance and also you wont have were given to purchase another. you may want to also ought to attend awhile with this plan besides the actual incontrovertible truth that. some corporations require that you've insurance for a close era of time in the previous than you should placed it to apply to replace your cell telephone.

If you have insurance on the phone with whatever cell phone company most of the time they will cover it. If you do not, there's really nothing you can do, the phone companies put a water damage sticker underneath the battery its a little circle sticker so they know if there's any damage.

Same thing happened to my boyfriend. If you completely dry out the phone, but get no screen at all after that, its just fried. He had to get a new phone. Sorry for your poor cellphone.
